Introducing the February Lively Lady: Linda Rose!
Meet Linda!
Linda has made Durango home for 5 years now! She is a local eye surgeon and had the opportunity to come to this beautiful place for work as the nearest cornea specialist is over 3 hours away. Linda feels very fortunate to now work in a practice that has such a high standard of care with truly wonderful colleagues and staff! Linda says, “my career is much more than that. It’s sort of how I keep falling in love with life. It’s a marriage of the love of science and wonder of how it all works - with the daily duty of serving an individual in trouble or need. And all of that with the company and support of younger staff who are still learning. And the company of inspiring and smart colleagues who continue to teach me each day”.
Linda has a glorious “family” of long-term friendships and an inspiring black cat named Creole who is her roommate and teacher. Linda and Creole are currently studying the art of deep relaxation, meditation, and the superpowers of sleep.
When she’s not kicking butt in the operating room, Linda enjoys dancing and yoga! Linda trained as a yoga teacher over 20 years ago and enjoys practicing at many of Durango’s studios - especially Sweaty Buddha and Yoga Durango. Linda also loves winter sports! She is a member at the Nordic Center and has a downhill pass at Purgatory as well. She enjoys traveling the world, especially to places off the beaten path!
Linda first discovered Lively when she came to interview for her job in Durango. Before becoming a Lively lady, she had made several trips to the boutique! Linda says, “the items I’ve brought home from Lively are so comfortable, so ready to wear, adding ease to dressing for work, and style to dressing for a relaxing day off - whether spent at home or around town”. She comes from a background of Italian designers and after living (and shopping!) in big cities throughout the world, she is thrilled by the fashion diversity brought to Durango by Lively! Linda doesn’t have a favorite brand in particular as she is not a brand shopper, but she does love our lounge clothes and accessories. She likes to splash in the occasional Lively workwear that feels as cozy as PJs, but looks fabulous and professional! Linda loves shopping at Lively because “in a mountain town where the wardrobe staple is fleece, Lively is a the perfect descriptor for how one feels here. When you go to Lively make sure you walk around…take your time to discover all the lovely things they’ve collected and brought back for us. Enjoy!!”.
