Introducing the November Lively Lady: Heather Feistner!

Heather first moved to Durango during her freshman year of college to attend Fort Lewis! After spending her first year of college here, she moved back home to Denver to finish out her education. In Heather’s mid-20’s, she moved back to Durango because she missed our sweet small town and community. After a couple months of living here, Heather met her husband who she has been happily married to for 16 years! Together they share two amazing girls who are 13 and 10 years old.

You might recognize Heather as she is a local realtor at Sotheby's! Also, Heather sits on the board of the Durango Winter Sports Club and The Durango Youth Softball/ Baseball. Heather’s girls are both ski racers, so she thought it would be great to be heavily involved with the program. In her spare time, Heather enjoys skiing, trail running, reading, hanging out with her dog, coaching youth softball, lunching with her awesome friends, and shopping at Lively (of course)!

Do you need a signature holiday drink? We think you do. Whether yours is as simple as a Cosmo or as fancy as a Salted Caramel Martini, pick the cocktail that says “you” for the season. Even if you love the holidays, there’s a good bit of stress to go around. Lively and Teaspressa are here to take the edge off with these yummy drinks.

Spiked Eggnog

  1. Saturate Teaspressa Eggnog sugar cube with 1 oz of water, muddle until the cube becomes syrup.

  2. Add syrup, 8 oz of your preferred milk, and 1.5 oz of rum to a shaker.

  3. Stir with ice and strain into a glass.

  4. Garnish with whipped cream, cinnamon, and a cinnamon stick.

White Peppermint Mocha Martini

  1. Saturate Teaspressa White Peppermint Mocha sugar cube with 1 oz of water, muddle until the cube becomes syrup.

  2. Add 1.5 oz of vodka, 1.5 oz of cream liqueur, and syrup to a shaker.

  3. Garnish martini glass rim with a crushed candy cane (You can use simple syrup or honey to make the crushed candy cane stick to the glass).

  4. Shake with ice and strain into a martini glass.

  5. Garnish with a candy cane or peppermint bark.

Gingerbread Mule

  1. Saturate Teaspressa Gingerbread sugar cube with 1 oz of water, muddle until the cube becomes syrup.

  2. Add syrup to a glass.

  3. Add 1.5 oz of vodka, whiskey or tequila.

  4. Add 0.5 oz lime juice.

  5. Stir with ice.

  6. Add 4 oz club soda.

  7. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, rosemary or a gingersnap.

Sugar Cookie Martini

  1. Saturate Teaspressa Sugar Cookie sugar cube with 2 oz of water, muddle until the cube becomes syrup.

  2. Add syrup to a shaker.

  3. Add 1.5 oz of vanilla vodka, 1.5 oz of cream liqueur, and 1 oz of amaretto to shaker.

  4. Garnish martini glass rim with Teaspressa Vintage Christmas Cookie Sprinkles.

  5. Shake with ice and strain into martini glass.

Boozy Hot Cocoa

  1. Saturate 2 sugar cubes of either the Teaspressa Classic Cocoa or White Chocolate Cocoa with 1 oz of hot water, muddle until the cubes become syrup.

  2. Add syrup, 1.5 oz of vodka, and 6 oz of hot preferred milk to a glass and stir.

  3. Garnish with whipped cream and Teaspressa Peppermint & Marshmallow topping.

Crushed Candy Cane Martini

  1. Saturate Teaspressa Crushed Cane sugar cube with 2 oz of water, muddle until the cube becomes syrup.

  2. Add syrup to a shaker.

  3. Add 1.5 oz of whipped cream vodka and 1.5 oz of cream liqueur to shaker.

  4. Garnish with a crushed candy cane on the rim of the martini glass.

  5. Shake with ice and strain into glass.

  6. Garnish with candy cane.

Cosmopolitan

  1. Saturate 1 or 2 Teaspressa Cosmopolitan sugar cubes in 2 oz of water, muddle until the cube becomes syrup.

  2. Add Cosmo syrup, 2 oz of vodka, 0.5 oz of triple sec, and 0.5 oz of lime juice into a shaker.

  3. Shake with ice and strain into martini glass.

  4. Garnish with lemon or orange peel or with a lime wedge.

Holiday Mojito

  1. Saturate 1 or 2 Teaspressa Mojito sugar cubes in 2 oz of water, muddle until the cube becomes syrup.

  2. Add syrup, 2 oz of white rum, and 0.5 oz cranberry juice into a shaker.

  3. Shake with ice and pour into a glass.

  4. Add a splash of club soda and stir.

  5. Garnish with cranberries, fresh mint, and a lime wedge.

Apple Hot Toddy

  1. Saturate 1 or 2 Teaspressa Spiced Apple Toddy sugar cubes with 3/4 cup of hot water, muddle until the cube becomes syrup.

  2. Add syrup and 1.5 oz of whiskey to a glass and stir.

  3. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a lemon wedge.

Fall Old Fashioned

  1. Saturate a Teaspressa Spiced Apple Toddy sugar cubes with 2 oz of water, muddle until the cube becomes syrup.

  2. Add syrup, 2 oz of bourbon, 3 dashes of bitters, and 1 teaspoon of water to a shaker.

  3. Shake with ice and strain over a glass with ice in it.

  4. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and an apple slice or an orange peel.

Salted Caramel Apple Martini

  1. Saturate a Teaspressa Spiced Apple Toddy and a Salted Caramel sugar cube in 2 oz of water, muddle until the cube becomes syrup.

  2. Add syrup, 1.5 oz of vanilla vodka, and 0.5 oz of sour apple schnapps to a shaker.

  3. Garnish martini glass rim with caramel.

  4. Shake with ice and strain into the glass.

  5. Garnish with an apple slice.

Bourbon Vanilla Cocktail

  1. Saturate a Teaspressa Vanilla sugar cube in 2 oz of water, muddle until the cube becomes syrup.

  2. Add syrup and 1.5 oz of bourbon to a shaker.

  3. Stir over ice and strain into a glass.

  4. Garnish with Maraschino cherries.

The Teaspressa Mimosa

  1. Place 1 or 2 Teaspressa Raspberry, Peach, Grapefruit, Arcadia Orange, Lemon or Strawberry sugar cubes in the bottom of a champagne flute.

  2. Pour champagne or Prosecco over cube(s).

  3. Garnish with fruit associated with chosen Teaspressa sugar cube or Teaspressa Rose Petal topping.
