Introducing the March Lively Lady: Mandy Jones!
Meet Mandy!
Mandy moved here for college to attend Fort Lewis! Mandy graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education and was very fortunate to have began her teaching career at Sunnyside Elementary Preschool. She has been teaching preschool ever since! Mandy is married to her high-school sweetheart, Chris. They have 4 children - Wes, Sammy, Bodhi, and Charley. Wes is going to be a senior next year at DHS. Sammy will be a sophomore at DHS and getting her drivers license in September! Charley and Bodhi both go to school at Animas Valley Elementary, where Mandy still teaches preschool and they love to train jiujitsu and kickboxing with dad at Durango Martial Arts Academy. Their kids are so lucky because they have their grandparents that live in Durango too - Mandy’s mom and dad love to spoil their grandkids any chance they can get!
Mandy is a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mom, a teacher, a friend, a snowboarder, a hiker, a motorcyclist, and crafter! She has been obsessed with beading bracelets and earrings the last couple of years. Mandy was gifted her first Little Words Project bracelet from a preschool family and she thought…”I want to make bracelets like that too!”, so now she does!
Mandy loves the soft fabric of Z SUPPLY, the Maaji swimwear, the perfect fit of KUT jeans, Pink Martini’s cute sweaters and coats, and Back 70 sneakers! Mandy loves that lively supports local and afar jewelers. She just bought a pair of Stacy Parr’s, a Durango local, macrame earrings! Mandy loves shopping at lively because, “shopping at lively is my escape, my guilty pleasure. My girlfriends and I plan shopping dates for all occasions. We have the best of times at lively trying on clothes, hats, and shoes. We buy each other gifts, we buy clothes for work, we buy clothes “for revenge” (Taylor Swift reference) and we always leave feeling empowered…it’s lively therapy!”
