Jeans are a staple in fashion, known for their durability, versatility, and timeless appeal. Over the years, jeans have evolved from workwear into a fashion essential, worn by people of all ages and styles. Available in various cuts, washes and colors, jeans have become a symbol of casual wear, effortlessly blending comfort with style. Shopping for jeans can be a daunting task for us ladies, so Lively has taken out all of the hard work to narrow down an amazing range of brands with dreamy silhouettes and exceptional fabrics that last a lifetime. Straight:

As the name implies, straight leg jeans are jeans with a silhouette running straight down to the bottom. They have a consistent leg width and tend to feel somewhat snugger in the thigh. While occasionally confused with skinny jeans, straight leg jeans differ in that they do not taper towards the bottom but have an even leg width throughout. This style of denim suits almost every body type! However, it can be particularly flattering for people with a V-shaped figure.

Boyfriend:

Less tapered than mom jeans, boyfriend jeans feature a straighter style that's looser than slim jeans or straight-leg jeans. Boyfriend jeans often feature turned-up hems, which can balance well with ankle boots. These are particularly perfect for people with an inverted triangle shape – with smaller hips than shoulders, as well as oval and rectangle. Because of the baggier fit around the thighs, this will streamline your silhouette.

Wide Leg:

Wide-leg jeans are designed to fit loosely in the legs. They don’t run straight through the legs, nor do they become narrower through the legs. Wide-leg jeans have a tapered design in which they become baggier towards the bottom. Although there's no universal definition for the term, jeans are typically considered wide-leg if they measure at least 20 inches in the hem. Wide leg jeans are generally suitable for body types that have wide hips, wide thighs and straight legs. This cut can help balance the figure by creating a narrower silhouette in the hips and thighs, while flaring the legs slightly to create a more fluid feel.

Flare:

Flare jeans are a particular style of pants that begin to widen from the knee downwards, creating a flared opening at the bottom. This design not only adds a touch of retro flair to your outfit but also helps balance out proportions and elongate the legs. Flare jeans can be a fantastic addition to your wardrobe, regardless of your body type. Flared jeans are a great option for pear-shaped bodies - as they help balance out wider hips and thighs while elongating the legs. The slight flare at the bottom creates an illusion of more proportionate curves, making this style also perfect for those with a smaller waistline.

Bootcut:

Originally the jeans of choice for cowboys and ranch workers, the bootcut earned its title for, well, exactly that — being cut to work in tandem with boots. Tailored from the waist and slightly flared at the ankle, they strike a markedly different air than the recently repopularised wide-leg or the love-it-or-hate-it new style in town, the barrel. The key difference between bootcut jeans and flared jeans is in the silhouette. A bootcut kicks out from the knee subtly, whereas flared jeans feature a more dramatic bell bottom design, tapering out from the knee. Bootcut jeans are a timeless and versatile style that can flatter a variety of body types. Whether you have an hourglass figure, a pear shape, or an athletic build, bootcut jeans can enhance your curves and create a balanced silhouette.
