Forever a Lively Girl!

If you have shopped at either one of our stores in the last year, then you have absolutely come across our beautiful Gina. Her Texas twang, contagious smile, and sunshine energy is nearly unforgettable. The Lively team decided what better way to send her off to Arizona than making her the July Lively Lady! Gina embodies our brand perfectly and has added even more sparkle to not only our store, but our lives. To know Gina is to love her, so now we are giving you all the chance to know a little bit more about our favorite Lively lady!
Gina was born and raised in Clarendon, Texas which is a small little town outside Amarillo. She grew up with a younger sister who lives in Austin, Texas. Gina met her husband, Steve, at a bar where he worked as a bouncer. They are celebrating 31 years of marriage! Gina and Steve share a son, Ty, who lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his partner, Dillon, and Gina’s grand-dogs. Gina and her husband are moving to Clarkdale, Arizona which is about 30 minutes south of Sedona to be closer to Gina’s son. If you ask Gina why she’s leaving, she’ll say “because there’s no damn snow”. Haha!

Gina graduated from Tarleton State University with a degree in fashion merchandising with a minor in business. In her 20’s, Gina modeled in Amarillo and went to NYC to model with her agency at the time. If you happen to see Gina, you’ll have to ask her about her rockin’ modeling portfolio!
When living in Texas, Gina owned her own interior decorating company. While doing this, she rented out a studio to re-fab old furniture. Once Gina and her family moved to Arizona previously, she was looking for something to do. Then was born Gina’s mesmerizing belt buckles and cow skulls! She originally started making the belt buckles for herself and eventually all of her friends were asking if she would make some for them as well. This comes as no surprise if you have seen her pieces. Gina decided to start her own business, Three Feathers LLC, making the belt buckles and cow skulls, but unfortunately Covid hit shortly after. Once Gina moved to Durango and started working at Lively, she decided to start making them again. If you are ever shopping in either of our stores, you can spot some of Gina’s amazing cow skulls and belt buckles!

How did we get so lucky to snag Gina? Well what drew Gina to working at Lively, was all of our wonderful stylists and our out-of-this-world clothing. Gina says when she first stepped foot into Lively, it immediately just felt like home! Gina’s favorite brand for denim is Dear John because they are so flattering. Gina loves the material Dear John uses because it’s so soft and wiggles with your body. You can see Gina rocking some dreamy Dear John jeans in the picture to the left! Gina also loves Recycled Karma for their awesome band tees. She loves how soft the tees are and loves herself some rock-and-roll! So it makes for the perfect brand for fellow headbangers like herself.
When interviewing Gina, Nikkolette asked the most important question of them all…what will you miss the most about working at Lively? Gina tearfully answered that she will miss working with all of the wonderful women she has met while working at Lively. The Lively team means the absolute world to her and is family in her eyes.
When Gina moves back to Arizona, she’s going to look for a job working for some boutiques or art galleries near her. Although she’ll be looking for a new adventure, Gina says that she will never find her “Lively” again. Gina says it’s going to be really hard to beat working at Lively. But Gina will always have a piece of Lively with her through her dog, Lively, that she rescued from getting hit by a car in front of our store!
Although Gina is leaving, she will forever be considered a Lively girl. You never know you might see Gina make some guest appearances at our upcoming Lively events…
